D.C. Law
The Setup:  You can't keep Rob Lowe off the Beltway.  As Jack Turner, an idealist cut from "West Wing" cloth, he rejects his powerful family's political ties to do pro bono work at a law clinic.  But when his mentor, the managing partner of ritzy D.C. law firm Lyon, LaCrosse, and Levine, commits suicide, Jack is talked into replacing him.
The Twist:  Too many to count.  Jack's new workplace is a hornet's nest of intrigue, ruthless ambition and sexual duplicity.
We Say:  This is an entertaining adult melodrama with a seductive mytery at the core, as if John Grisham had collaborated with Jackie Collins - and that's a compliment.
The Outlook:  Definitely gets our vote.

Leaving the White House

Now that "The West Wing" has lost Aaron Sorkin, do you feel you got out just in the nick of time?
Rob Lowe:  They were not giving my character important story lines.  Then they gave everybody but me a raise.  I'm not stupid.  I got out in time in the sense that Aaron Sorkin was "The West Wing", and I wouldn't want to be there without him.

Is Jack Turner at all like "West Wing's" Sam Seaborn?
Rob Lowe:  They're both true believers.  But Sam didn't have many flaws.

Or love life.
Rob Lowe:  I know.

Will Jack?
Rob Lowe:  That's something we'll explore, and I'm excited about it.  But we're not making a soap.

So there will be no Rob Lowe butt shots?
Rob Lowe:  I don't rule anything out.  But it's about serious people dealing with major issues.
