LYON'S DEN' ON NBC AS NOTORIOUS SERIAL KILLER BURBANK, Calif. -- September 11, 2003 -- Steven Weber, first known to television audiences for his comedy role on the hit “Wings,” will guest-star in NBC’s new “The Lyon’s Den” (Sundays, 10-11 p.m. ET) as a former litigator turned infamous serial killer with an ironic sense of “perfect retribution.” The episode, “Trick or Treat,” will be broadcast in October. In “The Lyon’s Den,” Rob Lowe (NBC’s “The West Wing”) stars in the unconventional legal drama set against the imposing backdrop of Washington, D.C. business, politics and the justice system. Also starring in the intriguing drama with Lowe are Matt Craven (“The Life of David Gale”), Kyle Chandler (“Early Edition”), Elizabeth Mitchell (“Frequency”), Frances Fisher (“Titanic”), James Pickens, Jr. (“Traffic”) and David Krumholtz (“Big Shot: Confessions of a Campus Bookie”). Weber’s best-known TV role is that of the commuter pilot Brian Michael Hackett on the popular “Wings” comedy, but he also more recently gained excellent reviews for his recurring role in the acclaimed drama series “Once and Again.” He most recently starred on Broadway as Leo Bloom in Mel Brooks’ smash hit, “The Producers.” In addition, he has amassed many feature-film credits, including “Timecode,” “Leaving Las Vegas,” “Jeffrey,” “At First Sight,” “Single White Female,” “I Woke Up Early the Day I Died” and “The Temp.” Weber also has starred in such television movies as “Common Ground,” “Late Last Night,” “Love Letters,” “Thanks of a Grateful Nation” and “In the Line of Duty: A Cop for the Killing.” His miniseries credits include “The Shining” and “The Kennedys of Massachusetts.” “The Lyon’s Den” was created by writer and executive producer Remi Aubuchon (“24”). Rob Lowe, Kevin Falls (“The West Wing”), Brad Grey (“The Sopranos”) and Bernie Brillstein (NBC’s “Just Shoot Me”) are the executive producers.
