elizabeth mitchell
Elizabeth Mitchell was born in Los Angeles but her parents (both
attorneys) moved to Dallas, Texas, shortly after she was born on March
27, 1970.
She graduated from the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing
and Visual Arts and earned a degree in Fine Arts from Stephens College
in 1991. Her television appearances include the HBO film, "Gia",
and NBC's "ER" (she portrayed Dr. Kim Legaspi, Kerry Weaver's lover). On
the big-screen, she has appeared in "Frequency", "Nurse Betty" and "The Santa
Clause 2". Elizabeth lives in Los Angeles with her husband, actor
Gary Bakewell, and their son. Elizabeth met her husband when filming
"The Linda McCartney Story", a TV movie about Paul and Linda McCartney.
She played Linda; he was Paul.
Elizabeth is attorney Ariel Saxon. This is how she describes her role:
“Ariel is a complex character, a recovering
alcoholic who wasn’t able to get in to the law school of her choice because
of her addiction and is now working her way up. This show is definitely
about consequences and redemptions. Ariel is not making good choices. She
is truly mixed up, but wants to do the right thing. She’s a bit tragic,
and on her way to being either a really great person or a really horrible
one.”
